WHAT IS THIS ALL FOR? | Sage Green
My favorite piece from the collection. The side print "What is this all for?" is a question I've been asking myself lately. When going through hardship, I really question what the experiance I'm going through is trying to teach me. The color sage green was choosen to symbolize the burning of sage, healing, and warding away bad omens. This piece represents the feeling of being lost but trying your best to pick up all the pieces.
Base Hoodie | Milo
Emboridered AKOSI logo and mission statement "WE ARE WHO WE ARE". This piece is an introduction to AKOSI and the community I am trying to build. This is for all those who are still trying to find who they really are, and learning to accept yourself for who you chose to be. The color is special to me as it references two things. One it represents the color of my favorite childhood drink. Two my first pet Milo who I miss dearly. It highlights childhood, adult life, and the balance of bliss and lost.
The Eight Petal Flower | Skyflake
This piece highlights the AKOSI logo or "The Eight Petal Flower", and the five pillars of AKOSI. Culture/Community, Experiences, Beliefs, Energry/Intentions, and Reflection. I believe these five pillars are what shapes us to become who we are and the reality we live in. I will highlight each pillar in future collections and how they are vital to our own self-concept. Lastly the color was chosen to reference my second cat Skyflake who I miss dearly.
